Throughout my business career, I have studied the experiences and advice of world economic leaders. Much of their advice is solid and strong. Many of their lessons are well worth understanding. However, they often are in the penthouse of a skyscraper, while we are trying to build a basement.
Listening to their stories can be inspirational, but we need more guidance and practical everyday advice. And all too often, these great financial successes are not accompanied by success in health, relationships or spirit. I learned this lesson well, having become successful in my business life yet having had a difficult personal life. People need to understand that they can have both, and that one without the other is not success.
Following a structured educational program will help you achieve the goals you want.
“The person without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder”
The only way to get somewhere is to pick a destination and set course. It doesn’t mean the winds will always be with you. You will have to learn how to tack. Tacking is a sailing term for taking a zigzag course to get to where you want. It also doesn’t mean that you won’t run into a few storms, but you batten down the hatches and do your best to stay on course.
It never ceases to amaze me that people take no responsibility for determining what they want. It’s as though they expect the answers to their lives to just come to them. They think they will arrive at the destination of their desires without stating what harbor they want their sailboat to end up in. Life will somehow just happen for them. Then when nothing gets done and they get nowhere, they wonder why.
I can tell you why! They don’t state the destination they want. Life will not just happen for you; you have to make it happen. The great thing is that it doesn’t have to be this terrible adventure and task. In fact, when you know how to sail and know where you want to go, the trip is fantastic every day.
Your business, career and financial success will be determined by the goals you set and the tools you use to achieve them.
Tools To Life will help you and guide you to both make the right goals and then apply the science of success to realize them. Take Your career where you want It To Go by making a daily commitment to following your life plan.
